| With just under 40 years in the themed entertainment and leisure industry, Dan Aylward brings an abundance of experience to the ProFun family. Acting as General Manager for the Suzanne Mubarak Family Park, Dan will oversee the management and operations of the park from Pre-Opening, through Opening stages and ensure sustainability thereafter. Dan will also be acting as Managing Director of ProFun, Egypt, ensuring its continued growth and success. Dan got his start in 1971 at Coney Island (Cincinnati) and participated in the advance marketing of Kings Island in 1972. Throughout the 80s and 90s, Dan managed significant turnaround projects in some of the most demanding markets in the country. He joined Six Flags as Vice President and General Manager of Marine World Africa USA (now Six Flags Discovery Kingdom). After leading a significant growth program that resulted in doubling the attendance in one year, Dan was re–assigned to the European Post. He served four years as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Six Flags’ European Division, holding executive responsibility for eight properties in five countries. Most recently, Dan founded Worldwide Leisure Management LLC in 2007 to provide consulting services to financial investment firms interested in the theme park industry. |
