uShaka Sea World incorporates a unique shipwreck-themed aquarium (the fifth largest in the world), a 1,200-seat dolphin stadium (the largest dolphinarium in Africa), a seal pool, and penguin rookery. Guests are treated to live presentations daily at touch pools, reefs, and in featured tanks. There is also a “Snorkel Lagoon” where guests swim and explore a variety of marine life.
uShaka Wet N Wild is a separately gated water park featuring fresh water slides and pools, all with the fantastic vista of the Indian Ocean. There are heart-stopping, adrenaline pumping slides, and for guest wanting a more relaxing experience, there is a 450 meter Adventure River ride, where guests lazily float from Wet N Wild through Sea World and back. There is also a kid’s pool and an adult pool with a sandy beach.
uShaka Village Walk is an 11,000 square meter African-themed shopping village featuring over 80 shops and restaurants that include artisans, crafts, clothing, curios, spices, sporting goods, and other shopping diversions. This free attraction serves as an eye appealing and relaxing entry to the Phantom Ship, the icon of uShaka Marine World.

The Phantom Ship, a 1920’s inspired steamer, has run aground on uShaka Beach. It not only houses Sea World’s shipwreck themed aquarium below deck, but also hosts some of Durban’s best eating and drinking establishments on the upper levels. Guests can enjoy fine dining in the Cargo Hold and family fare in the Upper Deck.
uShaka Beach hosts a variety of water sport adventures including windsurfing, kayaking, beach volleyball, beach rugby, surfing, jet skiing, kite surfing, as well as national and international beach sport events. The beach is one of the best and cleanest in the province.
