ProFun Management Group GmbH, the European arm of the company, opened the 22,000 square meter, SPACE CENTER BREMEN in February, 2004. At opening SCB was Europe's largest indoor adventure park featuring unique attractions and entertainment with the theme of space travel and adventure. The park provided guests with breathtaking leading edge simulations and spectacular encounters including the 4-D STAR TREK BORG ENCOUNTER®, STARGATE SG-3000™, a simulator-based attraction, the first extrasensory roller coaster, Galaxie Express, a 450-seat IMAX ® film theater, and several other dynamic entertainment elements.
ProFun handled all pre-opening and operating functions including design, fabrication, and installation process; staff recruitment, hiring and training; marketing and ticket sales implementation; financial and administrative systems and procedures; and facilities planning and management as well as day-to-day management and operations.
Space Center Bremen is a part of a 103,450 square meter development that includes a hotel and shopping mall.
Legendary former astronaut, Buzz
Aldrin accompanied by his wife, Lois, visited SPACE CENTER
BREMEN in June, 2004. "There's nothing like this in the
world!" exclaimed Aldrin.
