Daytona Lagoon

Guests to the park are treated to a wide array of attractions from the roaring rapids of Adventure Mountain to the crashing waves in the park’s 500,000 gallon wave pool. At the heart is the imposing Blackbeard’s Revenge, where riders tube down from the top of this 62–foot tower. Visitors can hop on The Phoenix for 4Gs of heart–pounding excitement or make their way to the family entertainment center to play laser tag, enjoy a round of mini–golf and race around the Grand Prix Go–Kart Raceway. There’s also a climbing wall, arcade and interactive play area. Every year more than 300,000 people enjoy the rides and atmosphere at Daytona Lagoon.

Our Role

Originally opened in 1998, the water park was closed in 2002. ProFun worked closely with new ownership to reopen the park as Daytona Lagoon in 2005. We developed timelines and budgets for rehabilitation, refurbishment, and upgrades of the attractions, restaurant and other water park facilities. We projected revenue and all expenses for pre–opening and the first season of operation. Our marketing group outlined pre-opening, grand opening, and first year of operation advertising, publicity, group sales, and promotion.
