Bernie is a senior level Marketing and Sales executive offering
more than 25 years of international and domestic theme park and
resort experience within the Walt Disney Company. He has broad ranging
expertise in developing and directing strategic marketing, branding
and sales plans. He is strategically proficient in Advertising,
Promotions, Publicity, Sales Travel Trade Industry, Special Events,
Attraction Openings, and Creative Development.
While in Tokyo as Marketing Director, Walt Disney Attractions,
Japan, Bernie guided the Marketing, Sales and Sponsor programs which
included: Advertising, promotions, Publicity, Sales, Travel Agent
Activities, Product Packaging and CRM Programs, Special Events,
Creative Strategies, Hotel Sales Programs, and over 200 third party
promotional tie-ins on an annual basis. After a stateside appointment
as Director of Special Projects / Marketing, Walt Disney Attractions,
West Coast, Bernie was called back to Japan to orchestrate the creation
of a Strategic Resort expansion plan which included Tokyo Disneyland
theme park, Tokyo DisneySeas Park, two Disney branded resort hotels,
plus the complete brand development and roll out of the new Tokyo
Disney Resort. During his tenure, Tokyo Disneyland achieved record-breaking
single-park attendance in 1995, 1997, 1998 and 2001. Bernie was
also responsible for managing and directing all Disney Brand Management
programs and activities for the Tokyo Disney Resort.
