Autostadt, Volkswagen’s $500 million brand experience center, located in Wolfsburg, Germany opened in 2000. Autostadt invites visitors on a journey into the world of mobility. In the Zeithaus Museum, visitors can explore the history of the automobile. The factory tour offers visitors insight into the art of car construction, while the AutoLab encourages guests to design their own cars using innovative technology tools. In all, the 40–hectare Autostadt is an exciting look into the art of the automobile and a great presentation of the Volkswagen brand, attracting more than two million visitors every year. Autostadt was awarded a THEA award from the Themed Entertainment Association in 2000.

Our Role

With approximately nine months to go till opening, ProFun was brought in to provide full time pre–opening and operational support to the Autostadt project. We provided the project team with critical operational input, set standard operating procedures, developed the operations organization and management staffing, and determined admission and pricing strategy. We are proud to have assisted the Autostadt project through pre–opening and initial phase of operation after opening on June 1, 2000.
