Information and Communications Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo

Shanghai, China
The 2010 Shanghai World Expo theme was “Better City, Better Life” representing the common wish of humankind for a better living style in future urban environments. Set in the center of Shanghai, the entire site spread 5.28 square kilometers - all dedicated to the Expo. Opened to the general public on May 1st, 2010, the Shanghai World Expo hosted over 70 million visitors and 225 participating countries and companies. With international representation from USA, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Iceland, Australia, France, Germany and many more, as well as corporate participation of the major industries representing space, oil and technology, the Expo provided a memorable experience worthy of its Class 1 rating from the Bureau of International Expositions. Shanghai World Expo 2010 was the largest World Expo ever.

As representatives of China’s information communications industry, China Mobile and China Telecom created a combined corporate pavilion and spectacular show. The China Mobile/China Telecom Pavilion featured an exciting interactive performance based on dreams, with a focus on nature, science and technology, as well as the social aspect of humanity. Titled the “Information and Communications Pavilion” or ICP, the exhibit exemplified the profound influence of rapidly developing information communications technology and its industries’ impact on society.

ProFun Management Group was proud to work with BRC Imagination Arts, which designed the stunning Dreams Show for the Information and Communications Pavilion. The show featured the use of hand-held Information Communications Technology devices (ICTs) that allowed each guest to interact with the show and produce a record of their individual participation.
